About Us - Barossa Farmers Market

COVID update August – OPEN this weekend

We are very excited to be open this Saturday, and we have a number of safety measures in place to create a safe shopping environment. Never has it been a more important time to shop and support local businesses and we look forward to seeing customers come through our doors to support our stallholders and market.

Masks are required if you visit our market. Coffee is back and available for takeaway and outside consumption out of the market area. We encourage you to find one of the bench seats over by the trees if you wish to enjoy your coffee seated. There is however still no hot food available.

Currently our only entrance is at the front of the market shed so we can monitor customer numbers. Please notice the signage stating ‘Exit Only’ on the left hand side. We do have a limit on numbers inside the shed, so please listen to the direction of our COVID Marshals and thank you for your patience.

About us

The Barossa Farmers Market acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

The Barossa Farmers’ Market is an authentic farmers market and is open every Saturday morning from 7.30am to 11.30am. We offer a fantastic selection of fresh, seasonal, artisan made Barossa and regional South Australian food. Our stallholders sell an extensive range of the local vegetables, fruit, meats, breads, and cheeses. Delicious oils, preserves, bread, pastries, dumplings, cakes, sweet treats, drinks and other local specialities give you everything you need for the week ahead.

The Barossa Farmers Market shed has been running since 2002 and is located on the corner of Stockwell and Angaston Roads Angaston, behind Vintners Restaurant. It offers a unique culinary experience where you can meet with the creative food producers and farmers who make/grow the products they sell. Set in the historic Yalumba Vintners Shed, the market is surrounded by vineyards outside, heritage barrels inside, and is full of amazing Barossa food.

Join us for coffee and breakfast from our stallholders and enjoy a bustling, yet cosy market where the locals come to shop, chat and catch up and visitors are always welcomed by a warm country atmosphere.
