The growers at the Barossa Farmers Market often pick their lettuce and tomatoes and other produce just the night before market, sometimes even that very morning. (Yes, they get up very early.) And many of them grow organically.
So what you take home is as fresh, seasonal and full of flavour as any produce, anywhere.
Summer is the perfect time to focus on freshly picked seasonal produce and that’s exactly what you will find at the Farmers Market.
Each week brings some new produce and if you enjoy fresh fruit the market becomes a veritable treasure trove. Strawberries greet you at the entrance of the market and as you wander amongst the stalls it just keeps getting better. As summer progresses there are luscious peaches, apricots, plums, cherries, and if you're quick, raspberries.
If salads are more your style there are plenty of fresh vegetables and herbs, avocados, beans, tomatoes…the list goes on. So come in and see what you can find.
What's better than bacon and eggs on Saturday morning? Having someone else cook it for you!
